This Privacy Policy explains how Keepy Uppy (“we”, “us”, the “app”) handles information when you use the Keepy Uppy game, available on the web at keepyuppy.lol and as an iOS app. We have tried to keep the app’s data footprint as small as possible.

Information we collect

Keepy Uppy does not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, or precise location. The limited information involved is:

• Display name and group name (optional): If you choose to enter a player name or group name, it is shown to other players in the same game and may appear on the public leaderboard. Please don’t enter anything you wouldn’t want others to see.
• Gameplay data: Game activity such as puzzles solved, balloon “bounces”, scores, and timestamps, which power live gameplay and the leaderboard.
• Notification token (optional): If you enable bounce/low-balloon notifications, your device’s push notification token is stored so we can send those alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
• Usage and device analytics (website only): On our website (keepyuppy.lol) we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage (for example, page views and general device/browser type). This data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you. The iOS app does not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics.

How we use information

• To run real-time gameplay and keep the shared balloon in the air.
• To display scores and the leaderboard.
• To send notifications you have opted in to.
• To understand and improve the app through aggregate analytics.

How information is shared

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Display names, group names, and scores you submit are visible to other players and on the public leaderboard. We use service providers only to operate the service: our hosting provider, Apple Push Notification service (for app notifications), and Google Analytics (on the website only).

Data retention

Gameplay and leaderboard data may be retained to keep the leaderboard meaningful. Notification tokens are kept until you disable notifications or the token becomes invalid. You may request deletion of data associated with a name you submitted by contacting us at the address below.

Children’s privacy

Keepy Uppy is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

• You can play without entering a name.
• You can enable or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
• You can contact us to request deletion of data tied to a name you submitted.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
